Jussie Smollett’s ‘Empire’ just keeps crumblin’!
His malicious prosecution lawsuit against the City of Chicago, which claimed he was the victim of a malicious prosecution that caused humiliation and distress, was kicked to the curb yesterday by U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall. She said Jussie couldn’t file a lawsuit until all of the proceedings against him are over—including his felony indictment in February 2020 for his alleged hate crime hoax.
Jussie filed the countersuit in November 2019 after the City of Chicago sued him for $130,000, to reimburse the city for resources used to investigate the alleged attack. Jussie made his original claims in January 2019, reporting an attack by two masked men who allegedly poured bleach on him, tied a rope around his neck and used homophobic and racial slurs.
What do you think of the judge tossing out his malicious prosecution lawsuit?
