Joe Pytka, the director of Michael Jordan’s original Space Jam is not a fan of the reboot starring LeBron James!
Pytka, who told TMZ that the reboot was so anti-climatic that it took him five times to finish it, refers to the Space Jam revival as “one of those fluffy dolls you buy at an airport gift shop to bring your kid when your business trip has taken too long.” Ouch!
In addition to highlighting the original Space Jam’s all-star cast, i.e., Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, Shawn Bradley, and Bill Murray, he drew comparisons between MJ and LeBron—saying that “….MJ wasn’t just the best basketball player, but he was the biggest celebrity in the world” during the original Space Jam, and that “the truth is that LeBron ain’t Michael.”
