Jennifer Hudson Joins The EGOT Club As The 2nd Black Woman To Do So at the 2022 Tony Awards!
Monday, Jun 13, 2022

We are living under Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight” as she achieves EGOT status!

An EGOT is an artist who has an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and a Tony Award, and after last night’s 75th Annual Tony Awards, J-Hud has ’em all! Snagging a Tony for co-producing Michael R. Jackson’s A Strange Loop which won for best musical, the Respect star not only joined the elite EGOT club of 16 members but also made history as the second black woman to achieve this honor next to Whoopi Goldberg who was the first!

In addition to her Tony win, Hudson has also won a Daytime Emmy for her role as executive producer for Baby Yaga, Grammy awards for her debut album and The Color Purple, and an Oscar for best-supporting actress in Dreamgirls. Tune in to Dish Nation to see what our hosts think of J-Hud’s epic EGOT win!
