Sit down be humble, unless you are Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar.

The two rappers scored the most 2018 Grammy nominations as Jay-Z leads with eight nods and Kendrick is a close second with seven.

Included in Jay’s accolades were noms for album of the year, record of the year, song of the year and best rap album.

In addition to Jay-Z’s 4:44, others up for album of the year are Awaken, My Love! by Childish Gambino, DAMN by Kendrick Lamar, Melodrama by Lorde and 24K Magic by Bruno Mars.

Record of the year noms are “Redbone” by Childish Gambino, “Humble” by Kendrick Lamar, “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, featuring Justin Bieber and “The Story Of O.J.” by Jay-Z.

For Best New Artist the nominees are SZA, Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert and Julia Michaels.

It girl Cardi B scored two nominations for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her monster hit “Bodak Yellow.” Those are some money moves!

Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Ed Sheeran and Pink scored nominations for Best Pop Vocal performance.

Beyonce and Rihanna also got shout outs as they are both nominated in the Best Rap/Sung category as featured artists. Beyonce on Jay-Z’s “Family Feud” and RiRi on Kendrick Lamar’s “Loyalty.”

It should be noted that Drake didn’t submit his album More Life for Grammy consideration, so he wasn’t snubbed.

The Grammys will air live from New York City on Sunday, Jan. 28 on CBS.
