JAMIE LYNN RESPONDS AFTER BRITNEY SPEARS SLAMS HER UPCOMING MEMOIR & ‘NIGHTLINE’ INTERVIEW: ‘BRIT, I AM ALWAYS HERE’
Friday, Jan 14, 2022

The family drama is heating up between Britney Spears and her little sister, Jamie Lynn.

Ahead of the release of her memoir, Jamie Lynn Spears had an interview with Nightline about the change in Britney’s behavior over the years—calling it “erratic” and “spiraling”—and that didn’t go over well with her “Stronger” sibling. In a scathing Instagram post, Britney called out her little sister for releasing a book at her expense and stooping to a “whole new level of low.”

“She was never around me much 15 years ago at that time… so why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense?” Britney wrote on Instagram. “Then where the lady mentioned why did she accuse you of doing remixes to her songs … I know it may sound like a silly thing to most people but I wrote a lot of my songs and my sister was the baby. She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her,” the pop star continued.

Jamie responded to Britney’s post via social media as well, noting the discrepancy between her private conversations with Britney versus what’s the pop singer’s posts on Instagram, and that her family has received death threats because of Britney’s “vague and accusatory” posts.

“Last thing I want to be doing is this, but here we are…It’s hard to see these posts, as I know the world also feels. I just wish her well. Brit, I am always here, you know behind the scenes I have always been here. It’s become exhausting when conversations, and texts we have in private don’t match what you post on social media. I  know you’re going through a lot and I never want to diminish that, but I also can’t diminish myself,” Jamie wrote.

Just a couple of months ago, a court ruled in Britney’s favor by eliminating the 13-year conservatorship that was run by her father,  Jamie Spears, up until his court-ordered suspension in September.

Do you think Jamie Lynn is wrong for writing a book about Britney?
