Lala Anthony, who’s been married to Carmelo Anthony for 11 years, has pulled a fastbreak and officially filed for divorce in New York court yesterday citing “irreconcilable differences” as the culprit. The estranged couple, who according to insiders have been living separately for a while, have split amicably and remained friends. As the two share 14-year-old son Kiyan, their top priority is to ensure the divorce goes as smoothly as possible, TMZ reports.

The soon-to-be-divorced couple got engaged in 2004 and officially tied the knot in 2010. However, they separated in 2017 after Carmelo allegedly went “out of bounds” with a mistress. Lala said the two were “working things out” in 2018, but when photos surfaced of Melo marinating on a yacht with a mystery woman in 2019 the marriage reportedly became “strained,” TMZ reported.
