Looks like there’s another Hollywood catfight, but this time it’s between two of the biggest award shows in entertainment—the Grammys and SAG awards!
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 63rd Grammy Awards rescheduled their ceremony from January 31st to March 14th. However, this just so happens to be the same date as the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) which was announced over 6 months ago—leaving SAG-AFTRA “extremely disappointed” in the conflicting date. The actors union, who reportedly “reached out” to the Recording Academy for an ongoing discussion, gave a statement to Deadline expressing their dismay for the awards show date drama.
‘We announced the same date for the SAG Awards with the intent to give the greatest possible scheduling consideration for other awards shows. We expect the same consideration from sister organizations throughout the industry,’ per Daily Mail.
As it currently stands, both awards show will take place in Los Angeles and will air on March 14th. Do you think The Grammys were shady to reschedule on the same date as the SAG awards? Tune in to see what our Dish Nation hosts think of this show business snafu!
