When it comes to Tiffany Haddish, is “she ready” to take Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime TV crown? NBCUniversal seems to think so! The network told Page Six that Tiffany is considered a “favorite” which puts her at the “top of the list” to snag her own daytime talk show once Ellen exits.
“Tiffany is a favorite, she has humor and empathy in spades,” NBCUniversal shared—adding that “She’s top of the list to get a daytime show – she’s a fresh voice.”
Ellen exclusively told TheHollywood Reporter and her live audience that she would be ending her show after it’s 19th season in 2022.
When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged – and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore,” she shared. “My instinct told me it’s time. As a comedian, I’ve always understood the importance of…timing. In all seriousness, I truly have felt like next season was the right time to end this amazing chapter.”
Tiffany—who currently hosts Kids Say The Darndest Things—was a guest host on Ellen’s show back in October amid toxic workplace rumors that led to the firing of three executive producers, Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman.
