IS BRITNEY SPEARS REALLY FREE? JAMIE SPEARS TO STEP DOWN AS HER CONSERVATOR “WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT”

Britney is free….when the court determines “the time is right” for her father Jamie Spears to step down as her conservator.
After a long battle over Britney’s conservatorship, her father Jamie Spears has finally agreed to give up his position as her conservator, despite an “unjustified petition for his removal,” Fox News reports. Per court documents, Jamie—who’s served as Britney’s conservator since 2009—will provide the court with “accurate and substantiated facts” to ensure a smooth transition of conservatorship.
“Considering the true facts and the actual circumstances that currently exist, an orderly transition based on cooperation would most certainly be in the best interests of Ms. Spears,” the court documents state—adding that “When these matters are resolved, Mr. Spears will be in a position to step aside.”
The legal filing goes on to criticize Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, who in a recent filing of her own said an “appalling and inexcusable” physical altercation between Jamie and Britney’s kids left his relationship with Britney irretrievably broken, E News reported.
“At Ms. Spears’ request and instruction, Lynne has had little if any involvement in the Conservatorship — let alone Ms. Spears’ life — for most of the 13 years that it has been in place,” the filing states. “Instead of criticizing Mr. Spears, Lynne should be thanking him for ensuring Ms. Spears’ well-being and for persevering through the years-long tenure requiring his 365/24/7 attention, long days and sometimes late night, to deal with day-to-day and emergency issues — all to protect Ms. Spears and those around her charged with protecting his daughter.”
Although “there are no urgent circumstances justifying Mr. Spears’ immediate suspension” according to the legal filing, Jamie will step down “when the time is right” once all pending issues are resolved. Although Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart was “pleased” by Britney’s conservatorship win, he told TMZ he was also “disappointed.”
“We are pleased but not necessarily surprised that Mr. Spears and his lawyer finally recognize that he must be removed. We are disappointed, however, by their ongoing shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others.”
Following the news of Jamie stepping down as Britney’s conservator, Paris Hilton, Cher, and more took to social media to celebrate her victory.
