The controversial country music king strikes again! Following his record-breaking hit “Old Town Road” which spent a record-breaking 19 weeks at number one on Billboard Hot 100 two years ago, Lil Nas X has another smash hit—and maybe some human blood—on his hands.
.@LilNasX‘s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” officially debuts at No. 1 on this week’s #Hot100.
It’s his second career No. 1 single, after “Old Town Road” in 2019.

The Montero (Call Me By Your Name) song—which is the center of controversy after dropping its pearl-clutching music video—snatched the top spot from Justin Bieber’s “Peaches” track and is Lil Nas X’s fifth Hot 100 entry. In true Lil Nas X fashion, the Gen Z social media guru trolled his haters with the record-breaking news.

In addition to Montero’s buzzy music video where Lil Nas X goes straight to hell on a stripper pole and gives Satan a spicy lap dance, Nike filed a restraining order against the sale of his Air Max 97 custom-made “Satan Shoes” which allegedly contain one drop of human blood and have a “666” and the “Luke 10:18” bible verse embroidered on the sides.
