At the Hollywood Reporter’sPower 100 Women in Entertainment Breakfast, Gal Gadot awarded the first ever Wonder Woman scholarship to Loyola Marymount University freshman Carla Arellano, who was at risk of dropping out. Now, Carla’s scholarship will cover all four years!
When Gal Gadot awarded Carla, she added to the woman empowerment to in the room.
“I’ve had the privilege of portraying a superhero onscreen, but the young women here today are the real superheroes. [These women] have overcome so many challenges in their lives, and they’re driven to do more. They’re the true leaders of tomorrow.”
Justin Timberlake was also in attendance and handed out $1 million scholarships to girls from underrepresented communities of Los Angeles.
