Has Angela Bassett not given everything?!
The 95th Academy Awards hosted by Jimmy Kimmel was in full effect last night with some historical and surprising wins and some devastating blows. Everything Everywhere All at Once swept, winning 7 of 11 nominations with lead actress Michelle Yeo winning Best Actress, making her the first Asian woman ever to win the award. Jamie Lee Curtis, who was up against Wakanda Forever’s Angela Bassett for Best Supporting Actress, won her first-ever Oscar, beating Angela in the category and leaving fans outraged! This is Angela’s second Oscars snub as she lost Best Actress back in 1994 for What’s Love Got to Do with It.

Speaking of snubs, Austin Butler, who infamously channeled Elvis, lost Best Actor to The Whale’s star, Brendan Fraser. The Banshees of Inisherin got snubbed despite having nine nominations, along with Rihanna and Lady Gaga who performed at the Oscars but neither won Best Original song.
