On Friday, Gary with Da Teatried to get to the bottom of the story by asking Jackée if in fact the reboot really was happening.
“I ain’t saying it no more. I don’t know,” the 61-year-old said cautiously, before adding, “Ain’t no check cleared. When the check clears … so it’s like yes and no.”
So while nothing is definite, it sounds like there’s still a chance we’ll eventually see Jackée playing Lisa Landry again!
Unlike Sister, Sister, Jackée didn’t mince words when asked if she’d ever want a revival of her ’80s sitcom 227.
“NO!” she said emphatically. “I ain’t doing that. You’d have to drug me, give me molly or something.”
But before you think there’s any 227 cast drama, it’s wearing her character Sandra Clark’s sexy outfits after 30 years that Jackée is most against.
“First of all, I ain’t getting back into that,” she said while rolling her eyes and running her hands over her figure.
But interestingly enough, when Porsha asked her which of the new crop of actresses are bringing the sexy and funny like she did, Jackée got right back into Sandra Clark mode by jokingly answering: “NONE!”
Jackée finished our interview playing a rapid-fire question and answer game where she revealed her sweetest co-star, sauciest pick-up line and the former New Edition singer that gets her feeling some type of way. It’s a must-see!
Until the Sister, Sister reunion materializes, you can catch more of Jackée on The Paynes – which is a spin-off of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne – every Friday night at 9pm on OWN.
