David Arquette admitted this summer that he’s no longer sober and pals close to the troubled Scream actor exclusively tell Dish Nation that his hard-partying ways are to blame for troubles with his fiancée, Christina McLarty.
“David just can’t slow down when it comes to his partying and drinking habits. He’s out virtually every night,” an insider revealed.
While an eyewitness who shared a few rounds with Arquette just last month at a Los Angeles-area bar told Dish, “He was out to have a good time. Totally tied one on and didn’t seem to have any regrets about getting wasted. He certainly didn’t seem like a family man that had a wife-to-be and baby waiting at home.”
Indeed, trouble is brewing in paradise as was evidenced by recent video footage obtained by the Daily Mail in which Arquette appeared to breakup on the spot with McLarty following a heated exchange after a night at West Hollywood hotspot, Craig’s. Arquette later explained the fight saying they were both just exhausted from parenthood.
“David turns into a different person when he’s drinking. He’s loud, belligerent, obnoxious and careless,” the insider told Dish.
“He’s a lot of fun to party with, unless you’re his fiancée and the mother of his child.”
Dish dug up some recent photos of Arquette, 43, out on the town partying it up with several groups of ladies while McLarty was at home with their 6-month-old son.
With scruff on his face and wild bed head, Arquette makes funny faces and appears to be having a great time out on the town — and did we mention he recently purchased a strip club?
In September Courteney Cox‘s ex-husband reportedly dropped $1.5 million to buy Hollywood’s famous Crazy Girls, adding to the two popular nightclubs he already owns; Hooray Henry’s and Bootsy Bellows.
“It’s really sad that David can’t seem to turn things around and just put down the bottle,” a second source told Dish.
“He has a problem…he has for a long time, and he knows it. Sometimes he’s in the mood to address it and try to get sober, and sometimes he goes through a phase, like right now, where he just doesn’t give a sh*t.”
In August of this year Arquette gave an interview to RumorFix in which he admitted he was off the wagon.
“I’m not sober!” he said when asked how to juggle sobriety with nightclub ownership. “But it’s very hard to, that’s probably why I’m not.”
“If you wanna be sober in the nightlife, good luck,” he continued. “Go to a lot of meetings.”
