It looks like Eva Marcille is turning in her peach and she’s doing it for the culture! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed exclusively to The Jasmine Brand that she’s leaving the reality TV franchise after two years.

“I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided. However, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities. I look forward to serving my community on the Rickey Smiley Morning show and finding ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”

While leaving the series to explore more transformative opportunities, specifically surrounding the current racial climate, Eva is grateful for the “bond of friendship” and “strong personal relationships” she forged with castmates, producers, and Bravo executives. In addition to believing “everything has a reason and a season,” Eva, wife and mother of three, is looking forward to redirecting her energy to her kids and community, she explained on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
