“We can’t be friends” takes on a whole new meaning!
Steve Harvey is no stranger to controversy and this time he’s stirring the pot on platonic friendships! In a resurfaced clip from his 2010 interview with CNN’s Face to Face with Fredricka, the TV host and comedian—who admitted to not having any female friends—said 99.9% of men are “incapable” of being friends with women without wanting something more.
“He’s your friend only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing else is happening except this friendship we have. We remain your friends in hopes that one day there’ll be a crack in the door, a chink in the armor,” Steve explained.

Steve went on to encourage women to playfully test the waters by asking their platonic male friends to date them. “Trust and believe that guy that you think is just your buddy, he will slide in that crack the moment he gets the opportunity,” Steve told Fredricka.
