In the words of Fat Joe, “yesterday’s price is NOT today’s price”— but one thing is for sure, today’s Diddy is NOT down with yesterday’s Jermaine Dupri ‘Verzuz’ challenge!
Fat Joe and Ja Rule faced off in an epic Verzuz battle last night at Madison Square Garden and as expected, it was filled with celebrity appearances, timeless throwback tunes, and the nuance of New York City banter! After Fat Joe aka “Joey Crack” and Ja put on for their city, DJ, producer and down south rapper, Jermaine Dupri, who was in the building for last night’s Verzuz, got so inspired that he challenged Diddy to a Verzuz duel!
Somebody let @Diddy know I’m @thegarden right now ! And he gon need some training for me pic.twitter.com/dZhl9x36ix

Despite many fans championing J.D.’s challenge to battle Diddy in the next Verzuz, the Bad Boy Records CEO was not excited about the suggested match-up and quickly served up a lil’ shade! After telling JD that he “ain’t got enough hits” to go hit-for-hit with him in the Verzuz ring, Diddy said the only one he’d battle against is Aftermath CEO, Dr. Dre.
Beloved you my nigga but your arms too short to box with God!!! You aiint got enough hits. I’ll smash you with just biggie n Mary . But I do have the upmost respect on you as a musical legend – Dre the only one can get in the ring w me . – LOVE 🖤
