Conor McGregor is best known for bringin’ the heat into the UFC ring, but at last night’s 2021 MTV Video Music Awards the mixed martial arts athlete brought the drama straight to the red carpet and Machine Gun Kelly was his opponent! A red carpet attendee captured a video clip of Conor and MGK getting into a cocktail-slingin’ red carpet scuffle, which reportedly started over, brace yourself, a selfie request, per TMZ reported.

Conor allegedly asked the “Papercuts” rapper for a selfie, and when his request was denied MGK’s security reportedly pushed Conor away. Once Conor got himself together, he chucked a cocktail in MGK’s direction, real housewives-style. However, Conor denied the selfie claims to Entertainment Tonight and said “absolutely nothing” happened between himself and MGK.
“I don’t know the guy. Nothing happened with me. I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”
After the red carpet chaos, both Conor and MGK went inside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center where the VMAs were held. Conor presented the Artist of the Year award, a category in which Kelly was nominated, and MGK snagged Best Alternative Rock and performed “Papercuts” with Travis Barker.
