Case Closed! California DA Won’t Charge Mike Tyson for Punching Unruly Fan on Flight
Wednesday, May 11, 2022
Mike Tyson is out here throwin’ those hands and winning!
The legendary boxer will not face charges for punching unruly fan, Melvin Townsend, during a flight from San Francisco. After California DA Steve Wagstaffe reviewed the videos that captured the altercation between Tyson and Townsend, his office deemed the case closed and Mike will not face charges. Additionally, the DA said his office won’t be filing charges against Townsend either, Fox Newsreports.
The scuffle happened about a month ago when the former heavyweight champ Tyson and Townsend were aboard the flight. Sources say the two were friendly at first— Mike even took pictures with the fan—but things suddenly went left when Townsend wouldn’t stop bothering him and Mike had to serve up those hands!
Is this a win for both parties? Tune in to see if our Dish Nation hosts think Mike should have been charged.
