Needless to say, everyone across the country was on edge on Election Day, including celebrities. While votes were counted and results were pouring in, Hollywood A-listers such as Cardi B, Mark Ruffalo, Charlize Theron, Chrissy Teigen, and more took to social media to share their frantic feelings about the hair-pulling presidential race between President Donald Trump and Democratic Nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Charlize spoke for all of us when she tweeted that “we are all a mess of anxiety right now” but celebrated Sarah McBride’s historical moment of becoming the first transgendered person in the Senate.

Chrissy Teigen shared her fears, which included a very scary The Handmaid’s Tale reference that has all of us shook.

Elizabeth Banks was like most of us, eating our anxious feelings and pacing back and forth with each and every update.

Busy Philipps shared Elizabeth’s same sentiments but added two margaritas to the mix.

Garcelle Beauvais suggested sippin’ on some Tequila to take the edge off.

Kumail Nanjiani tweeted the perfect description to the election night that would never end.

Cardi B needed multiple smokes after watching states turn red.

But Mark Ruffalo reminded us of the “red mirage” and encouraged everyone to wait until every vote was counted.

According to The Associated Press, Biden leads the race with 238 electoral votes to Trump’s 213. Votes are still being counted in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona where Biden is currently leading, and Georgia and Pennsylvania where Trump is ahead.
