Needless to say, everyone across the country was on edge on Election Day, including celebrities. While votes were counted and results were pouring in, Hollywood A-listers such as Cardi B, Mark Ruffalo, Charlize Theron, Chrissy Teigen, and more took to social media to share their frantic feelings about the hair-pulling presidential race between President Donald Trump and Democratic Nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden.
Charlize spoke for all of us when she tweeted that “we are all a mess of anxiety right now” but celebrated Sarah McBride’s historical moment of becoming the first transgendered person in the Senate.
We are all a mess of anxiety right now but at least we can celebrate this incredible news 🙌🏻 https://t.co/MlUMCnXfEF

Chrissy Teigen shared her fears, which included a very scary The Handmaid’s Tale reference that has all of us shook.
It’s insane what *our* fears are if we lose, compared to their fears if Biden wins. like we will prob all die or be handmaids and they’re worried about bathroom safety

Elizabeth Banks was like most of us, eating our anxious feelings and pacing back and forth with each and every update.
I’m just pacing back and forth. At least I’m burning off the gallon of ice cream I just ate. #ElectionNight

But Mark Ruffalo reminded us of the “red mirage” and encouraged everyone to wait until every vote was counted.
Take a deep breath folks. Remember the #RedMirage we won’t know in important states tonight. https://t.co/EtTaAzLckI
