Cardi B and former presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders shocked the world when the two of them appeared together on Instagram Live on Tuesday night.

The interview follows Senator Sanders dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden. The “Bodak Yellow” singer questioned Bernie’s endorsement and explained, “One thing is, like the youth, they don’t really rock with Joe Biden because he’s conservative.” Bernie explained that he vowed to support the democratic nominee in order to defeat Donald Trump and he was going to “work with Joe to see that he becomes a more progressive candidate.”

It wasn’t all serious. The two of them even compared manicures with Cardi telling “Uncle Bernie” that “I can tell you’ve been in quarantine quite a while now by your nails.”

While many found the rapper and the former presidential candidate’s Q&A to be insightful, many were also very confused.
