It looks like Sean Combs will be “Diddy-boppin'” at this year’s 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Vegas!
NBC and MRC announced the notorious Bad Boy Records CEO will not only host this year’s Billboards, but he’ll also be calling the shots as executive producer. In addition to releasing an official statement, Diddy made an announcement on Instagram, letting all his fans know that he’ll be hittin’ the stage as “the host with the most!”
“This will be unlike any awards show – I’m bringing the love and setting the frequency at an all-time high,” said Combs in his statement. “The Billboard Music Awards truly represent the artists and where music is today, so I’m excited to curate the biggest live performances and surprises. The world has to tune in to see.”
This news comes 25 years after Diddy snagged his first Billboard music award for his 1997 album, No Way Out.
The Billboard Music Awards—slated to have performances from Burna Boy, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more— will air on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, in addition to streaming on Peacock.
