Now that Tori Spelling’s reality show is over and Dean McDermott is off to Canada for a job, mom Candy Spelling is back in the picture.
The Spelling matriarch has done an about face and reached out to help her daughter heal her wounds over her cheating husband.
Even a tattoo of Tori’s name that Dean inked near his privates won’t sway Candy into thinking he’s cured his wandering eye.
“Candy and Tori did start speaking again after the birth of her first two kids,” a source told Dish Nation. “But Candy never accepted her son-in-law so she distanced herself from Tori. When Dean cheated on Tori in December, devastating her daughter, Candy decided it was time to mend fences. She’s been bending over backwards since then to be there for Tori and her grand kids.”
Tori, who just wrapped the finale of her Lifetime series “True Tori,” still isn’t convinced Dean has changed his cheating ways.
“Life’s not a fairy tale,” Tori said during Tuesday night’s finale. “Life’s not a movie. And I might not get the happy ending.”
According to the source, Candy offered to take her kids overnight for the first time in a long while.
“When Candy found out Dean was leaving for Canada to film ‘Chopped’ she knew Tori was going to be a wreck,” adds the source. “That’s where Dean cheated so Candy offered to take all four of her kids overnight to her Beverly Hills condo. Tori’s relationship with Dean may be on shaky ground, but she and her mom are finally getting along. Tori is over the moon that she’s finally got her mom there to support her during these troubled times.”
