Billionaire Richard Branson takes “flewed out” to an intergalactic level!
The Virgin Galactic founder makes history as the first person to successfully ride into space aboard his own winged rocket ship. Accompanied by five Virgin Galactic employees, Beth Moses, Colin Bennett, and Sirisha Bandla, and pilots Dave Mackay and Michael Masucci, the crew flew 53.5 miles above Earth this morning, reaching the edge of space, before kicking off commercial space flights next year.
While gushing over the intergalactic panoramic views of Earth, Branson sent an inspirational message to the youth straight from zero gravity!
“To all you kids out there — I was once a child with a dream, looking up to the stars. Now I’m an adult in a spaceship…If we can do this, just imagine what you can do,”

Branson’s history-making test flight is not only two decades in the making, but also the first of its kind in the commercial space industry. In historical headline-making news, Branson beat his direct competitor, Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, to the outer space punch—rocketing into space just nine days before Bezo’s scheduled test flight aboard his own spacecraft.
More than 600 people have reserved tickets to ride on Branson’s spacecraft for $200,000 to $250,000 a pop. After one more test flight, Virgin Galactic will reportedly be open for business at a higher price point, CNN reports.
