WHAT BARACK OBAMA, STEVE JOBS & ELMO HAVE IN COMMON
Saturday, Jan 27, 2018

With the Grammy Awards being handed out on Sunday, it’s insane to think that popular music artists like Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg have never one a single Recording Academy statue.

Yet there are other non-musicians that have taken home the record industry’s biggest honor like President Barack Obama, the late Steve Jobs and even Elmo.

Obama actually has two having picked up the award for Best Spoken World Album twice for his audio books. In 2006, for Dreams of My Father and again in 2008 for The Audacity of Hope.

In 2012, the late Steve Jobs was posthumously awarded the Grammy Trustees Award for his contribution to the field of recording.

But it’s Muppet diva Elmo that outdid them both by having nabbed three Grammys for Best Musical Album in 1999, 2000 and 2002.

Forget New York, Los Angeles and Nashville, Sesame Street is where it’s really at, y’all!
