Zayn has found that the last few months of his “blissful” love life with model girlfriend Gigi Hadid have inspired him to pen music about them doing their “bedroom thing.”.
Zayn has written about the intimacies of his love life with Gigi , even recording some very raunchy tunes about their night-time activities.
And while t he former One Direction star is proud of that work, he is toning them down for the release.
A respected music source , who has been in a New York recording studio, says Zayn is toning down the lyrics to be ” less Hugh Hefner and more Marvin Gaye ” in his love tunes.
However, the other tunes are “being kept for Gigi ‘s ears only”. The source revealed:
“Zayn really has been in a unique head space in the last few months. His work has been centered on how close he is physically and emotionally with Gigi; and some of the material that came out was very explicit. It was real raw emotional words, but highly relevant to the song mood. And while he loves those tunes he has taken a step back on the lyrical content. He feels that he can produce as much excitement with different lyrics, in more of a Marvin Gaye vain. He doesn’t want any of his music to be banned or deemed inappropriate for his fan base, so the words are more subtle. Producers are saying that they are seeing a more mature Zayn, whose song crafting skills will be all over album two.”
The source added: “The demos are something that he kept and that only he and Gigi have.”
Zayn and Gigi’s relationship has grown stronger with the addition of a puppy to their home.
Earlier this month Gigi and Zayn made headlines with their August cover story for Vogue magazine.
In an interview with the publication, the pair talked about borrowing each other’s clothes, which led to the magazine titling their piece, “Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are part of a new generation embracing gender fluidity.”
” I shop in your closet all the time, don’t I?” Hadid said in the article. “Yeah, but same,” replied Malik. “What was that t-shirt I borrowed the other day?”
After the story received a backlash, Vogue’s apologizes issuing a statement, which read:
“The story was intended to highlight the impact the gender-fluid, non-binary communities have had on fashion and culture. We are very sorry the story did not correctly reflect that spirit – we missed the mark.”
