WORK IT! MISSY ELLIOTT IS THE FIRST FEMALE RAPPER TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE ‘SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME’ CLASS OF 2019November 8, 2018
Missy Elliott has been flippin’ it and reversin’ it all the way to the Songwriters Hall of Fame!
This is quite the accomplishment for the “Lose Control” rapper as she’s the first female MC to be nominated. The ‘Songwriters Hall of Fame’ announced their roster yesterday, with the requirement that each nominee has written hit songs for at least 20 years. Missy, nominated as non-performing, will be joined by ‘Hall of Fame’ veteran Mariah Carey—along with non-performing nominees such as Madonna, Monica, Pink, Boyz II Men and many more. What do you think of this year’s nominees? Stay tuned to see what our Dish Nation hosts think and what fellow MC Da Brat has to say!
