February 20, 2017

Susan Sarandon told PrideSource, an online publication dedicated to serving the LGBT community in Michigan:

“I guess you could say my sexuality is up for grabs.”

You can read the full article here.

Susan Sarandon’s latest project is portraying the gay icon Bette Davis in Ryan Murphy’s Feud: Bette and Joan. Jessica Lange will be playing Joan Crawford. The series premieres on FX on March 5th.

Bette Davis earned her status as a gay icon in the 1939 film Dark Victory.

According to PrideSource, Susan Sarandon is viewed as a gay icon herself due to “her longstanding advocacy” as well as being “a staunch supporter through the AIDS crisis and the fight for marriage equality – even in times when vocal Hollywood allies were scarce.” Her roles in movies has also challenged traditional notions of sexuality.

Susan Sarandon was married to fellow actor Chris Sarandon from 1967-1979. She was also notably with Franco Amurri in the 1980s and Tim Robbins from 1988-2009. After Robbins, she dated Jonathan Bricklin and they are known for opening the SPiN Ping Pong bars.

However, she spilled some more tea on her dating life to PrideSource saying she had an affair with Philip Sayer who is a gay actor that has since passed away.

Snaps for Sarandon and her fluidity!
