CARRIE FISHER DIES AT 60December 27, 2016
Iconic Star Wars star Carrie Fisher has died at the age of 60.
A spokesman released a statement from Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, reported People.
“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
The devastating news comes four days after the actress suffered a heart attack aboard a flight arriving to LAX from London on Friday.
Fisher was rushed to the hospital and remained in intensive care over the weekend.
Best known for playing Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, Fisher had been on a European promotional tour for her latest memoir Princess Diarist.
Fisher is survived by her 24-year-old daughter Billie Lourd and mother Debbie Reynolds.
