MILEY CYRUS REVEALS WHO’S TO BLAME FOR TWERKING PHASEMay 16, 2017
Miley Cyrus is not taking ownership for the several years she spent twerking and gyrating with furry animals on stage.
The 24-year-old has revealed she blames her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, for causing her to rebel from her Disney star youth after becoming famous as Hannah Montana.
“I didn’t get a school escape like most people,” Miley told The Zach Sang Show. “I went to work with my dad. That was really hard, every day from like 11 to 18. .And then I started driving my dad towards the end because I could start driving, and then my grandma went with me.”
It was spending those long days on set with her “Achy Breaky Heart” singer father that lead her to rebel.
She continued: “So that was a lot of time spent, dad and grandma, which is why when I turned 18, you wondered why I was twerking at the Juicy J show. I just spent 10 years everyday with my dad and grandma. I had to break free.”
But apparently, those wild days are behind her as Miley has now reinvented her image by portraying a more rootsy look in her new video “Malibu.” So who is to blame for this?
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also recently said she has given up smoking pot and drinking while maintaining her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
Miley will perform her new track at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
