We are obsessed!
The diva of all divas Mariah Carey was honored with the hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday.
With 18 number one songs and numerous Grammys, the 47-year-old singer has finally achieved what she called her “childhood dream.”
“Oh my god, please! I’m just happy. I’m honored to be here! This is like a childhood dream. It’s awesome,” she told ET at the event.
We guess things do happen when you believe!
Mimi’s Precious director and Empire creator Lee Daniels was on hand to introduce the “Honey” singer with heartfelt words that had the Lambs cheering.
“250 million records. Beyond a legend, beyond iconic! Her heart is gold, her heart is pure,” Daniels said of the powerhouse singer/actress.
To leave her permanent mark on Hollywood, Carey chose to wear a pair of black Louboutins to step onto the wet cement.
“It’s an honor and I’m proud to be here… I have so much gratitude in my heart,” she added.
Also along for support was her on/off boyfriend and backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka.
With her hands and feet now firmly planted outside the famed Chinese Theater, Mariah joins an A-list club that includes Hollywood legends like Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant, as well as modern celebs like Tom Cruise and Will Smith.
She can officially say “We Belong Together!”
