Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has committed suicide, reports AP. He was 41.
Law enforcement officials said the singer died from hanging and was found at a private residence in the Los Angeles on Thursday morning.
Bennington’s death comes just two months after the suicide of his good friend and fellow rock singer Chris Cornell. Today would also have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.
Linkin Park has sold over 70 million records and received 2 Grammys. Some of their biggest hits include “Faint,” “In the End” and “Numb/Encore,” their 2005 collaboration with Jay-Z.
Bennington is survived by his wife and six children from various relationships.
