KRISTEN STEWART DEFIES A STRICT CANNES RULEMay 16, 2018
Kristen Stewart bares all!
Kristen Stewart took a stand at the Cannes Film Festival while attending a screening of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. A controversial rule at the Cannes Film Festival states that women must walk the red carpet in heels. Kristen Stewart walked to the carpet photographers in a pair of bloody shoes, and then she took them off and continued walking the red carpet barefoot.
This is not the first time Kristen has demonstrated her distaste for the Cannes’ heel policy. She commented on it to Vanity Fair in 2016:
““If [a man and I] were walking the red carpet together and someone stopped me and said, ‘Excuse me, young lady, you’re not wearing heels. You cannot come in,’ then [I’m going to say], ‘Neither is my friend. Does he have to wear heels?’ It can work both ways. It’s just like you simply cannot ask me to do something that you are not asking him. I get the black-tie thing but you should be able to do either version — flats or heels.”
Do you think the heel policy is unfair?
