KRISTEN BELL DOESN’T NECESSARILY BELIEVE IN MONOGAMYOctober 10, 2017
Despite being married to Dax Shepard for four years, Kristen Bell isn’t exactly completely behing the concept of monogamy.
The 37-year-old actress has opened up about her controversial views on relationships in the new issue of Men’s Journal.
“I’m quite positive we are not meant to be monogamous,” she told the magazine. “It’s difficult, and it requires a lot of attention, vulnerability, and openness.”
But to ensure there is no cheating going on, the couple have figured out ways to make sure they both get what they want from each other.
“He’s very direct about his emotions and I’m grateful for that because it lets me in on the way he thinks as far as tending to our marriage— when we should go to therapy, when we have to be better at intimacy, all those things in order to meet each other’s needs,” the mother of two said. “He’s very open about what he needs to stay satisfied in our relationship, because if one partner isn’t satisfied, you just kiss it goodbye; somebody’s going to stray.”
So while they don’t have an open marriage, it seems they’ve managed to stay monogamous even if they don’t necessarily think it’s human nature.
Do you think we’re meant to be monogamous?
