She won an Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG and four Grammy awards, but Jennifer Hudson only came in seventh on her season of American Idol in 2004.

And as the reality singing competition series makes its inexplicable return next year, there has been much speculation as to who will host or be a judge.

It’s safe to say JHud won’t be joinging the show that first made her famous, because she’s heading to its competition, The Voice.  Dayum!

The 35-year-old will sit in one of the famed red chairs alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Miley Cyrus.

“Jennifer is an extraordinary vocal talent and one of the premier voices of our time. She embodies the experience, expertise, positivity and sheer talent that The Voice stands for,” NBC said in a statement “Her exceptional skills as a singer and actress have extended to film, television and Broadway, which makes her an incredible addition and a natural fit for our show.”

The powerhouse talent expressed her joy in joining the show in an Instagram post.

“In tears thinking of what this means and represents to me and knowing and walking the journey ! Wow , who would of thought after being a contestant , that one day , I would be sitting in one of those chairs from the U.K. To the U.S! Only God !!!! Oh but I made it !”

Girl, you made it a long, long time ago!
