‘GET OUT’! JORDAN PEELE NAILS OBAMA IMPRESSIONFebruary 24, 2017
Jordan Peele‘s new film Get Out comes out today and it’s had people talking ever since the trailer was first released.
The thriller tells the story of a white woman who brings her black boyfriend home to meet her parents. The vibe appears to be very welcoming until he realizes odd behavior among other black people who work for the family.
In an interview with our Dish Nation hosts, Jordan explained that the premise of the movie is a horror version of Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner with a touch of a psychological twist.
“We made it a thriller, it is a social thriller, it’s very psychological but it also has some funny moments as well.”
Jordan did take a moment to clarify that this is NOT a story based on his life, given that he is currently married to Chelsea Peretti, who happens to be white.
“Very important to know by the way, my wife is white but this is not an autobiography, did this not happen to me… I wrote this before I met her. This is a collection of experiences you just don’t see in movies.”
You can say he’s not afraid to call people out… especially the president!
“Well, good for him. He went and got a ticket and everything. That’s good for him!”
The comedian also commented if there will ever be a Keanu 2 or a Key & Peele reunion and had great things to say about his long-time co-star Keegan-Michael Key.
“That needs to be decided. We’ll definitely do something together. He’s the funniest dude I’ve ever worked with and also the best actor I know.”
He also mentioned that during the Sundance Film Festival screening, Malia Obama was there to show her support!
Get Out has earned only positive reviews so far, and this is a movie we’ll definitely ticket! So don’t waste any time, get out and watch it!
