FEEL GOOD FRIDAY: SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER BUILDS RAMP FOR DISABLED GIRLFebruary 17, 2017
Thomas Mitchell, a mechanic and part-time school bus driver from Tennessee has just changed the life of a young girl and her mother.
While on his bus driving shift, Mitchell had to pick up the young third grader in a wheelchair from her home and noticed that the family didn’t have a ramp for her in the house. It really hurt him to see the mom physically pick up the chair and bring it down off the porch and into the school bus.
Mitchell said he just couldn’t shake the image from his head. So he got some buddies together, knocked on the door and offered to build them a wheelchair ramp – FOR FREE! The guy works two jobs and adds on this? What a GREAT GUY!
We’re happy to say there are still good people out there with big hearts!
