WATCH: FAITH EVANS HONORS NOTORIOUS B.I.G. IN NEW ‘LEGACY’ VIDEO

April 21, 2017

Faith Evans is keeping Notorious B.I.G.‘s “Legacy” alive.

The 43-year-old singer has released the latest video off her upcoming “duets” album with her late husband.

“Legacy” features vintage footage of Biggie Smalls and highlights some of his favorite spots in his Brooklyn hometown.

Biggie’s verses in the track are actually sampled from his song “Would You Die For Me,” which he recorded with Lil’ Kim and Puff Daddy and appeared on his posthumous 1999 album Born Again.

The new album, The King & I, is due out May 19th and Faith believes Biggies would approve.

“One day towards the end of recording, I was playing the album back for different people and I just felt a tap on my shoulder and I just started bawling like, ‘I think he just told me he’s proud.’ I turned around like, ‘Get it together.'”

The album will be released two days before what would have been Biggie’s 45th birthday.
