EXCLUSIVE: KIM FIELDS REVEALS ‘LIVING SINGLE’ REBOOT MAY COME ‘IN NOT SO DISTANT FUTURE’September 18, 2017
Get ready to be Living Single again!
Kim Fields has exclusively revealed to Dish Nation that her popular ’90s sitcom may be back on the air “in the not so distant future.”
While co-star Queen Latifah had previously divulged she was working on relaunching the series, Fields has now given us more hope she may be stepping back into the shoes of her character “Regine.”
“We’ve talked about it, everyone’s talked about it,” the 48-year-old told our Atlanta team on Monday. “In terms of if there will be a Regine sighting, perhaps sometime in the not so distant future.” Yes, please!
And while the show originally ran on Fox, exactly where the new version might air is still undecided.
“It might be on Netlfix or Hulu or one of the digital platforms. It might be a network,” Fields said, before jokingly deflecting any more details by adding: “It might be in my mind. I don’t know.”
Back in January, Latifah first got fans in a tizzy when she told Andy Cohen the reboot was in its early stages.
“We’re actually working on it. It’s not there yet but hopefully we can get it happening,” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
But now with Fields chiming in, it looks like the reboot is even closer to becoming a reality.
For those that don’t remember, Living Single aired from 1993 – 1998 and detailed the lives of six friends living in a NYC townhouse. A whole year before Friends hit the airwaves.
In addition to Fields and Queen Latifah, Living Single also starred Kim Coles, Erika Alexander, T.C. Carson and John Henton.
