Chrissy Teigen should get a gold medal for generosity.

The Lip Sync Battle host offered to pay Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney‘s $100K fine if she decided to speak at her abuser Larry Nasser‘s sentencing this week.

Maroney had previously signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) when she received her $1.25 million settlement and could be fined if she spoke out.

“The entire principle of this should be fought — an NDA to stay quiet about this serial monster with over 140 accusers, but I would be absolutely honored to pay this fine for you,” Teigen tweeted on Tuesday.

Maroney is one of over 140 women who were sexually abused by Nasser, who was a doctor with the USA gymnastics team.

The gold medalist thanked Teigen for her gesture in a statement.

“I’m shocked by your generosity, and I just want you to know how much hope your words bring to all of us! I just can’t get over the fact that someone I don’t personally know is sticking up for me, let alone a strong women that I’ve looked up to for years!”

Well, Teigen won’t have to spend a dime, because the USA Gymnastics organization said it would not fine Maroney if she chose to speak out. Hallelujah!

“USA Gymnastics encourages McKayla and anyone who has been abused to speak out,” said the group in a statement released late Tuesday. “USA Gymnastics remains focused on our highest priority — the safety, health and well-being of our athletes and creating a culture that empowers and supports them.”

Maroney has not said if she will in fact speak at the hearing, which will continue for several days this week.

Nasser was sentenced to 60 years for child pornography and admitted to sexually assaulting minors.
