“Chris and his team are already in the early state of negotiations; he was lined up for sequels in his contract but the vast revenue from this movie means that now the deal will be reworked to give him better pay,” a source close to the situation revealed.
“He was originally lined up for $14 million for a sequel but now it’s closer to $30 million with a revenue share tied in. If the next film repeats this success then Chris could be walking home with $50 million in total, and as high as $70 million for the third movie.”
And fans of Jurassic World could be in for a treat when it comes to the followup, because Dish has also learned that Steven Spielberg is looking to bring the child stars from the 1993 original back for the forthcoming sequels.
“Steven is planning the sequels and has some storyline ideas in mind which will bring back Ariana and Joseph,” the insider told Dish.
“Not only would be a fantastic tribute to them, but also a move that would be loved by fans. Steven has always promised Ariana that they would work together again, and returning as Lexi is the most natural step.”
