CHEVY CHASE SLAMS ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ & ADDRESSES AWKWARD RUN-IN WITH DONALD GLOVER

September 20, 2018

Saturday Night Live veteran Chevy Chase is gettin’ spicy and telling it like it is—and this time, no one’s safe.

During an interview with The Washington Post, Chase had some scathing words for the Emmy-award winning sketch comedy show. Despite being one of their breakout comedians, Chevy is shocked by how the show “went down hill” due to the “worst f****** humor in the world.” He also shared that he doesn’t think Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush impression is funny, doesn’t get the Tina Fey hype, and thinks Eddie Murphy’s take on Stevie Wonder is “not that hard” considering their “skin’s the same color.”  Tell us how you really feel, Chase!

He goes on to address the ‘beef’ with Donald Glover during their work together on Community where Chase allegedly told Donald that “people think you’re funnier because you’re black,” Glover dished to The New Yorker. But Chase cleared the air and insisted it was a joke. The two had an awkward run-in during the Saturday Night Live finale to which Chase said “I never saw a guy turn white so fast.” Perhaps this is where the Atlanta creator drew inspiration for Teddy Perkins? The world may never know.

What do you think about Chevy Chase’s choice words? Stay tuned to see what our Dish Nation hosts think!
