BOBBY BROWN DOESN’T THINK WHITNEY HOUSTON DIED FROM DRUGSMarch 1, 2018
While a coroner’s report listed the pop icon’s death was due to atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine, Brown believes it was a “broken heart” that ultimately killer her.
“I don’t think she died from drugs, the 49-year-old told Rolling Stone. “She was really working hard on herself to try to be a sober person.”
Along with cocaine, toxicology tests found marijuana, Xanax and Benadryl in Houston’s body after she accidentally drowned in a hotel bathtub in 2012.
When asked what he thought killed Houston, Brown replied: “Just being broken-hearted.”
In the interview, Brown also revealed he still wants justice for the death of daughter Bobbi Kristina, who was found unconscious in a bathtub in 2015.
Bobbi’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was found legally responsive for her death, ordered to pay $36 million to the family, but was not charged with a crime.
Brown is still upset Gordon is “walking around free” and disclosed what justice would like for him.
“If he was locked up somewhere where somebody can rape him,” Brown said. “That’s just how I feel. He raped me by taking my daughter away.”
In 2015, Brown created the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House as a safe haven for women who have suffered domestic violence.
