BILL COSBY’S WIFE CAMILLE JOINS HIM IN COURT FOR THE FIRST TIMEJune 12, 2017
Bill Cosby‘s wife Camille Cosby made her first appearance at her husband’s sexual assault trial on Monday.
The 73-year-old smiled while walking arm-in-arm with the actor as they entered the Norristown, Pennsylvania courthouse.
“Camille is standing by him and there appears to be no shift in her feelings about this,” a source told People. “They have been married for over 50 years and she loves him. Of course, it’s very painful for Camille to go through this. For both of them, it’s a nightmare every day.”
This is the first time one of Bill’s family members attended the trial since it began last week. The actor’s former Cosby Show co-star Keshia Knight Pulliam appeared on the opening day of the trial last Monday.
Cosby has pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated indecent assault of former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004.
On Monday, Cosby’s defense team rested their case without having the 79-year-old comedian take the stand.
The prosecution is set to deliver their closing statements next and jury deliberations could start as soon as this afternoon.
