BEYONCE SHAKES THE TABLE AT VOGUE MAGAZINE, HIRES FIRST BLACK PHOTOGRAPHER

July 31, 2018

Not only is Beyonce “good on any MLK blvd,” she’s also good over at Vogue Magazine, too.

For the first time in Vogue’s 126-year history, Anna Wintour has granted Beyonce full creative control of her September cover shoot. Beyonce, notoriously known for keeping her circle tight, has hired the publication’s first black photographer, Tyler Mitchell. A source provided insight on the selection process to Huffington Post.

“The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.”

Who run the world? Beyonce.

This isn’t the first time the Lemonade songstress shook the table over at Vogue as she declined a sit-down interview during her 2015 cover shoot. The mother of 3 will keep that same energy for this September’s cover shoot, but will be writing her own captions in long-form.

What do you think of Beyonce’s photographer choice?
