ARIANA GRANDE BREAKS SILENCE SINCE MAC MILLER’S DEATH, PAYS TRIBUTE TO ‘HER DEAREST FRIEND’September 14, 2018
Ariana Grande has been understandably quiet since the passing of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. Before her highly-publicized relationship with new beau Pete Davidson, the songstress dated Mac Miller for almost two years before calling it quits in May.
After the news of Mac Miller’s passing Ariana posted a caption-less black and white image of Mac Miller on her Instagram—but today she’s speaking out. In her sweet message to the “Self-Care” rapper, she hopes he’s “okay now” and tells him to “rest.”

i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.
Mac Miller died on September 7th of a suspected overdose. We’re continuing to send our thoughts and prayers to Ariana Grande and the family and friends of Mac Miller.
