Long before Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton, West played the Caped Crusader on the campy series from 1966 -1968.
Following the show’s cancellation, he turned down the role of James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever.
The prolific actor later voiced the charactor of the Mayor of Quahog on Family Guy and most recently appeared on The Big Bang Theory in 2016.
West is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
